Dec. 5—JAMESTOWN — The Jamestown Tennis Association hosted the annual Burst the Bubble tennis tournament over the weekend of Dec. 1 at the Two Rivers Activity Center.

The event included 34 players in three different events, men’s singles, women’s singles and mixed doubles. According to a press release, the 34 people is the most the tournament has ever had participate since it began in 2018. There were two Jamestown players to record a podium finish as Isaac Mimong finished as the consolation champion in the men’s singles bracket and Kai Backen and Sidney Ressler, who is from Minot, finished as the consolation champions in the mixed doubles bracket.

Mimong got a 3-6, 6-3 (10-5) win over fellow Jamestown native Luke LeFevre in the consolation championship match. Backed and Ressler beat Ryder and Medora Pringle 6-3, 6-3 in their consolation championship match.
