Redfoo – better known as one half of electronic music duo LMFAO – has made his professional tennis debut at the ripe old age of 49.
Competing under his real name Stefan Gordy, Redfoo’s time on court in the first round was short-lived, losing 6-1 6-0 to Norway’s Leyton Rivera.
It followed Redfoo receiving a wildcard to play in the ITF M15 tournament in Egypt.
The ‘Party Rock Anthem’ and ‘Sexy and I Know It’ singer shared footage of a rally he won from the match on Instagram – before graciously wishing Rivera well for the remainder of the tournament.
‘I lost the match but this was my best point,’ he said in the clip.
‘Good match and good luck Leyton.’

Redfoo dated former world No.1 Victoria Azarenka between 2012 and 2014 – and was courtside when she won the Australian Open in 2013.
He displayed promise himself as a youngster, playing in a handful of tournaments, before a tennis camp in Sweden changed everything.
A wrist injury from a snowboarding accident saw Redfoo’s focus turn to music.
Global fame followed with his nephew Sky Blu, with the pair releasing the album Party Rock in 2009.
Last year, the tennis fan was spotted at the United Cup in Sydney, rocking his trademark afro hairdo.
In August of 2014, Redfoo was smashed in the head with a glass bottle when partying at the Golden Sheaf Hotel in Sydney’s inner-east.

The former X-Factor judge said he was dancing with some girls in the roped-off VIP section of the pub when a ‘dodgy guy’ threw a glass, cutting him on the head.
‘It was shocking to me, when something like that happens,’ Redfoo told Daily Mail Australia at the time.
‘There was quite a bit of blood. I looked in the mirror, the whole side of my face had blood on it.
‘I have no clue on why you could do such a thing, I can only think of the word jealousy.’
