The premier league isnt just a different league its a different game. No doubt the refs are pally with long term prem players. Refs think they need to "teach" rather than ref. Multi ball system so balls come back quicker. Technical area code of conduct – Only one coach allowed to stand & more red cards. Then there's VAR. Booking for kicking the ball away. 10 minutes of extra time. Falling over gets you a free kick.
All these things make it harder to be successful when a team and its players are new to them.

As soon as I saw the starting lineup my head dropped 😔 that's not even a middle of the road championship side. The players gave everything and there's no blame there but I question why Slimane didn’t start and maybe Trusty too, and the subs came on way too late to have any impact on the game. We can never ever start that 11 again. A new striker is desperately needed ASAP and as soon as pep makes his mind up 2 good loans C'MON YOU BLADES 👏💪👏
