The Town battled hard but came up short as Kenilworth Road’s Premier League debut ended in defeat, with West Ham maintaining their unbeaten start to the season and running out 2-1 winners. Unfortunately, it was a double-header which sank the Hatters as Jarrod Bowen and Kurt Zouma both headed home goals to allow their side to escape with all three points.

  1. Okay, we have the International break now so it gives our players a bit more time to gel. But we really need to be sharper in front of goal and more alert at the back. That's the second game on the bounce where someone has scored from a free header inside our penalty area. Burke needs to be tighter with the marking and jump for the ball. Waving his arms around in annoyance after they've scored doesn't change anything. I would wager good money that had that hit a Luton arm, a free kick would have been given against us. Are these referees making their decision based on what VAR showed them or on the status and position of where each club is in the Premier League ladder???
