  1. Nice win and start of the series for the Stros Altuve started us off with the HR and Dubon continues to have a nice year when he came up clutch for us getting that hit to give us the lead.

Blanco pitched ok but the bullpen was fantastic with Maton Neris Abreu and Presley coming in and holding on to the lead.

Four games back and Hunter Brown pitching tomorrow let’s try to win game two Stros

  2. The pitch at 0:53 to Bregman is one of the few of these so-called "strike-out" calls that MLB was willing to feature in the highlights video. For every one of these that they decide to show, there's 50 more served to an Astros batter just like it. In almost every case, it's when an Astros batter already has two strikes or they are about to walk to 1st base.

  3. The only teams to play in a "World Series***" in the new Dallas / Fort Worth / Oklahoma warehouse blob of a baseball stadium are non-DFW teams. The Rangers don't have much for experience with playoffs so I don't see that changing anytime soon either. And if the Rangers think the MLB playoffs are easy, just ask the Dodgers, Twins, Mets, Yankees, Padres, or Mariners! The Rangers better just drop an extra $100 million next year on washed up has beens so they can try to compete.

***Pandemic bubble World Series in DFW without the Rangers, lol

  4. The rangers are definitely getting better and headed on the right track. The Astros are having a tough year with all the injuries and players missing. Not an excuse but just reality. I didn't know the rangers had a rookie third baseman who's an All-Star was 17 home runs. Looks like a good future for that team. That being said the Astros are still the better organization and the better team in the long run. Even if it has to start back up next year. Still think the Astros are going to win the division don't think the rangers can handle pressure yet

  5. Not going to lie; so many key moments could have turned an inning into something else. Pressly could have easily lost Jonah Heim on the 9th and opened a can of worms for him with the added pressure. If Bregman doesn't catch that ball by the rail in the 7th innings, who knows what happened to that batter on a 3-2 count, If McCormick misses that diving catch in the 8th, that is an easy triple. Everyone stepped up, great team win for the Astros. Ready for Round 2. Gonna be a dog fight all series.

  6. The 2023 Season began several weeks ago but it feels like the campaign to defend our city's championship started between Cleveland and right damn now…am I right?

A solid showing the rest of the series would set of great tone by which to march…Warm the War Drums and Let's Go Stros!

  7. Astros baseball at its best. Aggressive, starts with Altuve. Good defense. Sending Diaz home when a perfect throw would have gotten him out. And great pitching against a good hitting team. This series should be fun between two very good teams. The Astros won’t be afraid just because of the Rangers being in first place.
