This is late 80’s early 90’s Bombers all over again. A team with an injured superstar player, sorrounded by mediocre teammates, and a clueless manager. The big difference is that this time they have a general manager who believes more in statistics than baseball knowledge, and even though the owners share the same last name this one is gutless and doesn’t care about winning.

You can see that Rodon is heavy…out of shape. Another Yankee on a team full of players out of shape…injured often…and underperforming. Boone is responsible for keeping the best team on the field…which he has not as Yankee manager every year. 14-17 record in the playoffs. Time for a change…and Cashman has deteriorated as well as GM. Probably time for new blood there as well!
