Cejudo wins but being the aljo being the champion he has to knock him out to Claim
The bout
I don't think this was really that close. Sterling won 4 rounds to won. Winning all rounds except the 5th. Cejudo had a lot of trouble with the range of Sterling and just wasn't active enough. When you are the shorter fighter with a big reach disadvantage, you will need to be more active, so you don't fall far behind on the striking numbers like Cejudo did. Cejudo pressured forward well but did not let his hands go. Also, Cejudo didn't take advantage when Aljo was down on all 4's. Cejudo just kept him in a head lock, when he should have been throwing elbows, punches at the side of Aljo's head. Big opportunities missed by Cejudo, but he didn't do bad for fighting for the first time in 3 years. Now that Aljo lost to Sean, I'd like to see them run this one back.

Just rewatched the fight and cejudo still lost🤣 funny how he was backing up so much in the earlier rounds and then his trainer yelled” YOU NEED THIS ROUND HENRY” because he knew he was losing. Henry started pressing terribly, missing so many strikes and still didnt land many strikes cause he sucks

I really enjoy Aljo as a champ, however milking the grounded opponent rule by "walking" on his knees, just feels wrong man… Like 1 blasted knee and it's over. It doesn't feel right for me to be that comfortable in such an vulnerable position…

Both fighters are legit af. Seeing this , I don't understand Sterling in the O'Malley fight !!! And I don't understand how Cejudo isn't talked about more but folks still babble about fighters that don't move like that in the octagon. And dude is like 5 ' 4. Great , very awesome fight. A deadass technical fight with actual action , like even the holding wasn't boring and actually made sense , there was STRATEGY to it , not cop – outs !!! Much respect and decency !!!
