Upon reentering the Octagon after a brief stint away, light heavyweight Chuck Liddell would contend for the title in 2005 in a rematch bout with Randy Couture at UFC 52. Shortly into the first round, Liddell secured the knockout victory, claiming the division crown, KO of the Year honors and would go on to defend the title four consecutive times.

Chucks wrestling defense was so elite, everyone was literally forced to stand with him.
Those were the days when the Americans were champions before the incredible Russian fighters came along. These strong-willed warriors are on another level.

iceman was one of the reasons i got into MMA all i knew was there is a guy with mohawk knocking out people left and right
Randy’s record is so misleading. Dude fought nothing but world champions.. all in the latter part of his physical prime. Mid and late 30s. Dude is still a 2x heavyweight champ and a 3 or 4 time light heavyweight champ. All against straight killers with different styles. He even regained the heavyweight title after the chuck defeat and was beating and controlling lesnar who outweighed him by 60+ pounds (which wouldn’t be allowed today) until he got kod in his 40s. Dude was the most well rounded fighter in the ufc for a really long time.
