Riding a five fight win-streak into UFC 189 back in 2015, former double champ Conor McGregor cemented his name in the history books for the first time, defeating Chad Mendes in the main event via second-round knockout to claim the interim featherweight title.

  1. The Connor that beat Alverez was the Connor that schools Khabib….as good as Khabib clearly is, he beat a shadow of this Connor, he beat a complete husk of this Connor….in his prime, hungry, fluent, devastating, he was unstoppable in many respects. Yes Diaz chocked him out, but that was Connor going UP a division, outside of his comfort zone, yet remarkably, pulling off the rematch victory in an amazing fight. Prime Connor was a force of Nature, ruined by money, and the good life.

  2. That's what I'm going to do when you say that to my face. Not at me, around me, near me, none of that. Say my name, then say what you want to say. 😊

  3. If I remember correctly this really was the first time Connor got hit a shit ton of times, and could of easily maybe lost the fight if it went all 5 rounds or he could of possibly been finished. It was the first time I remember someone actually gave him a fight and he took a ton of damage in just 2 rounds
