In pride rules Islam chokes out volk. In pride the first round was 10 minutes so Islam that means Islam would have had even a longer times period to find the chock on volk when he had secured the back with the body triangle in the first round.
If anything the ufc ruled saved volk, not the other way around, volk was stuck and couldn't get Islam off his back in the first round and its end of the round that saved volk.
Nah matt serras logic is wrong, if volkanovski trained with khabib(a sambo champion) instead of creg jones he would have definitely donne even better against Islam.
I think so far Casares has been the best opponent for Yair, stylistic speaking …

People sleep on the Jon Jones’s fight iq the absolute best in the game. There’s other fighters that have high iqs but the total package of implementing the iq during the fight and never losing is unmatched with Jon Jones
