  1. Time when the best in the fight was the winner was by merit, and not this social network idiocy. Today the guy can be a complete imbecile, but if he has enough people in his social network, he will earn the best opportunities, and a kiss from Danna.

  2. Don def showed me some new skills from that age gap generationally. When don got his back taken he took his legs out and mounted with ground and pound! Sick slick move

  3. Back then you had to have some Big size to you. I'm 6'2 and 270lbs just like Dan Severn and would've fit right in. I joke. I couldn't imagine a Conor Mcgregor or GSP vs a 300lb Monster. Someone would've been killed by now if they didn't change the rules and make weight classes.

  4. It's crazy how fast time flys bye.
I still remember UFC 1-10, the 33 and 33.5 (odd number) , all the pride fighters and the chuck/Tito/randy drama… even Gracie winning the 1st one …
It's really amazing how it's evolved. Shamrock and his leg locks were lethal. Today a 2year many would know how to roll with one… Just amazing looking back at the improvements.

I still remember Randy winning the HW and LHW titles. It was unheard of someone winning 2 weight classes back then. Man the steroids would have been a staple diet back then too! Especially in pride.

  5. In the beginning the commentators really didn't know their arse from a hole in the ground.
Been following the UFC since day one. A lot of roid monkeys way back then.

  6. "Get the elbow above the head" Standing arm lock knowledge, right there. Bent arm lock, or straight. When the elbows get above the head, it's Christmas Day for arm locks.
