West Indies’ Predicted Playing XI Against India, 3rd T20I

West Indies take on India in the third T20I at St Kitts on August 2, just a day after losing the second T20I at the same venue. West Indies won the second T20I by five wickets to make a grand comeback in the series. They won the game on the back of Obed Mcoy’s six-for and Brandon King’s 68.  Meanwhile, the timings for the third T30I have been changed. It will start from 9.30 pm IST which is around 12 pm local time in the Caribbean. The CWI confirmed the same via an official statement.

“Cricket West Indies (CWI) confirmed a revised start time of 12pm (11am Jamaica/9:30pm India) for the third match between West Indies and India in the Goldmedal T20I Cup, to be played at Warner Park in St Kitts on Tuesday 2nd August,” CWI stated in an official statement.

The series has been a tough one for the Windies batters so far. They have not been able to play the Indian bowlers freely and aggressively. Nicholas Pooran, the skipper of the side said that his players were hurt by the batting performance of their players in the first T20I where chasing 191, they could only manage to get 122 in their 20 overs in the first T20I. However, the hosts had their revenge in the second T20I which they won by five wickets though were made to work hard.

“I can finally breathe now. It has been a tough summer for us. We lost a few close games and nearly made a mess of this as well. Obed was fantastic and all the guys just used the pitch and the conditions well. A win is a win. I believe in T20, better batsmen have to bat long” said Pooran hoping to rectify their mistakes ahead in the series.  Meanwhile, in this article, we take a look at West Indies’ predicted playing XI for the third T20I against India.
