Tottenham are reportedly set to delay a decision on captain Son Heung-min’s future until after their pre-season tour in Asia.
Son captained the club to the Europa League last month, bringing an end to their 17-year trophy drought.
The 32-year-old’s future remains uncertain despite the triumph, amid links to clubs in the Saudi Pro League this summer.
Tottenham triggered a one-year extension in January with Son’s contract now expiring in 2026, but the club could listen to offers this summer rather than allow him to depart on a free.
According to the BBC, a potential sale has been complicated by Tottenham’s upcoming pre-season tour of Asia.
The report claims an exit would be delayed until after the tour, with Son a central part of Tottenham’s commercial plans due to his status in South Korea.

Son’s involvement in activities has reportedly already been agreed with Tottenham committed to the plans, which would require a big-money offer for the club to consider a sale prior to the tour.
Tottenham begin their tour with a friendly against arch rivals Arsenal in Hong Kong on July 31, before travelling to South Korea to face Newcastle in Seoul on August 3.
The Times reported that Tottenham are contractually obliged to play their captain in the match.
An open training session is planned the previous day, with the likes of Son and Tottenham’s young South Korean winger Yang Min-hyeok likely to feature.
It will mark the fifth time Tottenham have toured South Korea since Son joined the club from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015.
Son addressed his future following South Korea’s 4-0 win in a World Cup qualifier against Bahrain last week.
‘I still have one more year left on the contract,’ he said.
‘Rather than saying anything at this moment, I think we should all wait and see what happens.

Son’s future is among the pressing tasks facing Tottenham’s new head coach Thomas Frank

Son could ultimately leave the club after a decade this summer following Europa League glory
‘But no matter where I end up, I will always do the best I can. It will never change.’
Son has previously turned down approaches from the Saudi Pro League, but could be open to a move with one year left on his deal.
Son has scored 173 goals in 454 matches for Tottenham, placing him fourth in their all-time goalscoring charts.
His future is expected to be one of the key decisions facing new head coach Thomas Frank, who was appointed last week.
