Marca reports that Xabi Alonso‘s move to Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti’s to Brazil will soon be announced.

The Spanish newspaper reports that in the last week of May it will officially be announced that Alonso is replacing Ancelotti as the new coach of Madrid.

An official announcement will not be made until the season is over for Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.

Alonso to Madrid, Ancelotti to Brazil

There has been non-stop talk over the past weeks about these two managerial posts and the futures of both Alonso and Ancelotti.

It has been accepted since Real Madrid’s exit to Arsenal in the Champions League that Ancelotti would be sacked by the Blancos at the end of the season.

Ancelotti then reopened negotiations with Brazil but there were shock reports from Fabrizio Romano earlier this week that the deal had collapsed.

It seems as if everything has now been repaired between the parties as Marca reports that Ancelotti will indeed take over Brazil at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Alonso has long been tipped to be the next manager of Madrid after two impressive seasons at Bayer Leverkusen having previously starred as a player for the Blancos.

And now a deal has been agreed for Alonso to be the manager of Madrid for the 2025-26 season.

It is not clear yet whether Alonso will be manager during the Club World Cup in June or take over after the tournament.

Nevertheless, these deals will be officially announced at the end of May with full details.

Brazil are currently without a manager after sacking Dorival Junior last month.

Ancelotti has been their dream appointment, having won 15 trophies across two spells at Real Madrid, including the Champions League and La Liga double last season.

Brazil want Ancelotti to lead them to World Cup glory next year.

As FootballTransfers reported last week, Saudi Arabia are also interested in hiring Ancelotti.

His former clubs AC Milan and AS Roma have also been touted as possible destinations if he were to return to Italy.

Ancelotti will be sacked by Real Madrid at the end of the current season.

Following his side’s disappointing Champions League exit to Arsenal and the Copa del Rey final defeat to Barcelona, there is no chance of Ancelotti staying.

As for Xabi Alonso, he emerged as one of Europe’s most admired coaches last season when he led Bayer Leverkusen to an unbeaten domestic double, while he lost the Europa League final to Atalanta in a historic season.
