Veteran English pacer Stuart Broad has come on the receiving end of criticism from the Indian cricket fans since the moment he questioned the ‘Mankading’ run-out by Deepti Sharma. Later on, Stuart Broad took a step ahead to prove himself legit and recall an incident involving the former Indian great Sachin Tendulkar.

Both tweets from him, first on Deepti Sharma and then on former legend Sachin Tendulkar didn’t go down with the Indian cricket fans. They took no time in lashing out at the senior pacer. Fans immediately went on to recall an incident when he refused to walk even after nicking the ball in the hands of the fielder towards the first slip.

Here’re the tweets from Stuart Broad:

Here’s how fans reacted to the tweet of Stuart Broad mentioning Sachin Tendulkar:

This whole debate on the legitimacy of a dismissal started after the ‘Mankading’ run-out attempt from Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma. She took the wicket of Charlotte Dean in the 44th over of the innings when England women had lost nine wickets on the score of 153 runs while chasing the target of 170 runs against the women in blue.

Deepti Sharma was about to bowl the fourth ball of the over, at the same time she saw that English batter Charlotte Dean went outside the popping crease of the non-striker’s end. Sharma took no time in dismissing Dean before she completed her action of bowling.

Although, this attempt from the star Indian all-rounder has divided the cricketing fraternity into multiple opinions. Some are questioning the spirit of Sharma towards the game of cricket. Whereas, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur went on to defend her teammate and said that it was completely ‘fair and within the rules of the game’.

Now, the Indian women will be seen in action again during the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022. The tournament is commencing next month on the 1st of October. Harmanpreet & co. will start their campaign of the tournament against Sri Lanka in the second match of day 1.
