Nuno Espirito Santo refused to confirm whether he knew about Nottingham Forest’s financial woes when he took the job in December.
Forest were on Monday charged with a breach of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, which could result in a points deduction. Nuno was hired to replace Steve Cooper in December, less than a month before Forest were penalised.
Asked more than once whether he was aware of a possible charge, Nuno said: ‘All the conversations and meetings we have are private but it is not my concern. We have to wait for the decision and then we deal with it.
‘We know about them since I’ve been in the Premier League. We know all clubs in the Premier League have been really looking closely at the situation and Forest are no exception. I know that all the clubs are looking at it – Premier League, Championship, everyone.
‘We are all concerned but it is not anything I have to think about or deal with. My focus is to prepare the team for the match tomorrow.’

Forest are four points above the relegation zone ahead of Saturday’s match at fellow strugglers Brentford. Before that they travel to League One club Blackpool for an FA Cup third-round replay on Tuesday night.
Nuno added: ‘We know (the PSR situation) is an issue we cannot do anything about. We have to play well, compete well and try to win games. We have a very good group who respect and help each other. In these bad moments we have to react as a group and that starts against Blackpool.’
