The 23-year-old was sat in the away end among Liverpool supporters, who would have been left disappointed with their side’s performance.

Geertruida has played 44 times across all competitions this season for Feyenoord who sit second in Eredivisie.

He has scored seven goals and provided four assists, earning another call up to the Holland squad last month.

Liverpool fell behind to West Ham through Jarrod Bowen’s header on the stroke of half-time before Andy Robertson levelled the scoring three minutes after the break.

Klopp’s men turned the game on it’s head thanks to an own-goal by Areola. Michail Antonio ensured the spoils were shared with a header after 77 minutes.

Liverpool remain third in the table and behind Leaders Arsenal and Manchester City ahead of their matches on Sunday.
