In the 46th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clashed with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Opting to bowl first, SRH conceded 212 runs in 20 overs as CSK put up an imposing total. Heinrich Klaasen’s slow innings of 20 runs off 21 balls further hampered the chase, and eventually SRH lost the game by 78 runs.

CSK bowler Matheesha Pathirana showcased his calibre in the 11th over of SRH’s innings. On the 5th ball of his over, Pathirana’s unplayable delivery uprooted the middle stump and sent Markram packing. This brilliant yorker shocked the SRH batter and left fans in awe.
