West Ham in talks for £25m deal for Palmeiras winger Luis Guilherme

West Ham have opened talks with Palmeiras over a £25million deal for winger Luis Guilherme.

The 18-year-old has been a target for Liverpool and Brentford though the Anfield club have stepped back from the chase.

West Ham are trying to make early headway in the market for new boss Julen Lopetegui. 

A delegation has been in Brazil as they also continue to discuss whether to persist with a £12m deal for centre-back Fabricio Bruno after failing to agree on personal terms for the 28-year-old.

West Ham remain among the clubs talking to Corinthians forward Wesley and are close to agreement over a contract for goalkeeper Wes Foderingham who is leaving Sheffield United as a free agent.

The Hammers are also one of three Premier League sides keeping tabs on American Rokas Pukstas, who is impressing in midfield at Hajduk Split in Croatia.

It was also reported that West Ham agreed a deal worth £10million plus add-ons for Brazilian defender Fabricio Bruno.

The East London club are undergoing a change this summer, after the exit of David Moyes as manager, and the incoming management of Lopetegui.

West Ham finished ninth last season, missing out on European football, despite reaching the Europa League quarter-finals this term, and winning the Europa Conference League 12 months ago.
