Guehi bid rejected as Chelsea and Spurs plot NEW offer
Crystal Palace have rejected a major bid for centre-back Marc Guehi but face a renewed assault on the player from Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle.
England international Guehi has emerged as a leading target for a string of Premier League sides after another impressive season with the Eagles.

Palace will not, however, allow Guehi to depart in the middle of the season, with The Athletic reporting that a “major” bid from Tottenham has been turned down.
Spurs, who have already signed Kevin Danso from Lens, are seeking a further centre-back following a serious injury to Radu Dragusin. An ambitious bid for Guehi, however, has come up short.
Oliver Glasner’s side are not in a position to allow one of their star players to leave, having struggled to replace winger Michael Olise, who left for Bayern Munich last summer.
Complicating their position at centre-back has been the loss of Trevoh Chalobah, who had been a mainstay in the centre of their defence. Chelsea chose to recall the defender from his loan. Losing Guehi at the last minute would have been a catastrophic turn of events for the Selhurst Park side.
Ben Jacobs reports: “Palace quickly turned down the approach. As they also told Chelsea early in January, a winter Guehi exit is not possible.”
Guehi set for summer exit: Chelsea, Newcastle and Spurs plan moves
Guehi is set to leave Crystal Palace in 2025, with the 24-year-old set to be the subject of serious transfer interest from a string of clubs in the summer.
His contract expires in 2026 and Palace are expected to take the opportunity to cash in.
Spurs, Chelsea and Newcastle are all thought to be plotting new moves for the summer, Jacbos says.
While the value of Tottenham’s latest bid has not been revealed, Newcastle had an offer of €78 million (£65m) rejected by Palace in the summer.
