The Indian team had total domination with the bat and bowl over the visitors who succumbed to the relentless attack from the Indian batters and had no answer to the mammoth total garnered by the team. By far the biggest win of the Indian cricket team in the T20I format came against New Zealand in February 2023 in the 3rd T20I of the series at Ahmedabad. The home side, owing to a stellar, unbeatable 120-run knock from Shubman Gill and contributions from Rahul Tripathi and then skipper Hardik Pandya managed to put together a total of 234 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. In response, the visitors fell completely to the relentless offensive bowling display from the Indians and crashed out at 66 runs to pave the way for an Indian win by 168 runs.

The annihilation of English hopes to register a constellation win shall go down in history as the 2nd biggest win of the Indian team in the shortest format of the game by runs. Abhishek Sharma’s incredible 135-run knock put Indian in the leading position with 247/9 in 20 overs. The England batters had no response to the gigantic total and were bowled out at a meagre 97 runs in 10.3 overs to hand over the win to the Indian team by 150 runs.

(3) The Irish surrender (2018):

The 2nd T20I of the Indian team’s tour to Ireland in June 2018 saw a stellar performance from the team to secure a historic win against the home side. A 70-run knock from KL Rahul and a majestic 69 off 45 balls from Suresh Raina led India to a total of 213/4 in 20 overs. In response, the Irish innings got derailed in front of the spin sensation Yuzvendra Chahal and were bowled out for 70 runs leading to a 143-run win for India.

In response, the Proteas could only garner 148 during their run-chase leading to a win for the Indian side by 135 runs.

India asserted total control during the 3rd T20I at Hyderabad against Bangladesh in October 2024 where the team managed to put together a total of 297 runs in 20 overs due to a majestic knock from Samson and fiery contributions from skipper Suryakumar Yadav. The Bangladeshi batters had no response to the mammoth total and could only add 164 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. This paved the way for an Indian win by 133 runs.
