Wednesday’s game: Toledo 10, Columbus 6
Recap: Guardians right hander Cal Quantrill, pitching for the first time since July 5, when he went on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation, struggled in a rehab outing with the Clippers. He lasted 1 ⅓ innings, gave up 6 earned runs and walked two while striking out just one. He threw 54 pitches, 36 for strikes. Wednesday actually marked Quantrill’s second return from the injured list this season. He also missed a month starting on May 31st, also due to swelling in his right shoulder. Offensively, Micah Pries had an RBI double and an RBI single for Columbus. He was 2 for 4 on the evening. Jhonkensy Noel hit a solo home run in the seventh. It was his team-leading 19th long ball of the year.
