Supporters were seen waving an Israel flag during Tottenham’s Premier League clash against Fulham on Monday.
A supporter was seen holding the flag in the stands despite both Spurs and the Premier League issuing bans on bringing national flags into the stadium, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas militant group that has claimed the lives of many civilians.
Clubs around the Premier League have been paying their respects to the lives that have been lost in the conflict by observing a minute’s silence, while players have been wearing black arm bands.
Ahead of this weekend’s matches, the Premier League and EFL had imposed bans on bringing national flags into grounds in a bid to prevent any incidents among supporters.
