Manchester United players aren’t being distracted by the club’s ownership saga with Sir Jim Ratcliffe poised to buy 25% stake of the club and take control of the football department.
Manager Erik ten Hag is certain they are focussed on today’s showdown with Manchester City even though the future is unclear once Ratcliffe completes his £1.4billion purchase.
‘I don’t believe the squad is affected. They are not thinking about strategic reviews or structures or whatever,’ said ten Hag.
‘Of course they are committed to the club but especially they are committed to this team. They want to be successful and are therefore aware they need co-operation with their team-mates.

Ten Hag’s tenure at Old Trafford has been dogged by fans’ opposition to the Glazer ownership.
The Americans seemed set to sell at one stage to Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim but he has withdrawn interest with The Glazers keen to sell a stake but keep overall control.
Ratcliffe, a lifelong United fan, is also the owner of French club Nice and there could be radical changes in recruitment at Old Trafford if he is given power.
