The 29th match of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 witnessed an intense clash between India and England at the iconic Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. The Men in Blue emerged victorious in the contest by massive 100 runs and maintained their unbeaten streak in the event.

Asked to bat first, India’s innings was a mix of commendable performances and some early hiccups. Opening batsman Rohit Sharma displayed exceptional form, scoring 87 runs off 101 balls with ten fours and three sixes. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja also contributed with the ball.

England’s batters, despite their efforts, struggled to build partnerships. Liam Livingstone top-scored with 27 runs off 46 balls. England was ultimately bowled out for just 129 runs in 34.5 overs, handing India a convincing victory.

In the end, India’s exceptional performance, both with the bat and ball, led them to a resounding 100-run victory over England, earning them the top spot in the points table and marking their sixth consecutive victory in the tournament.
