Manchester United fans have taken to social media to declare Alejandro Garnacho’s overhead kick against Everton one of the goals of the season.
Garnacho’s outrageous effort gave United a third-minute lead at Goodison Park amid vocal protests from the home fans about the Premier League’s decision to deduct the Toffees 10 points for breaching financial rules.
However, the Argetine winger took control of the action on the pitch with his second goal of the season.
And fans of Erik ten Hag’s side were quick to crown it one of the strikes of the season.

The action came within the first three minutes of play at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon
Another added: ‘Nah this has argument to be top 5 goals ever. Are we really taking in what this kids just done? He checks, has to run backwards, over head kick into the far top corner? Simply outrageous.’
Many were quick to compare the goal to a similar strike from former United favourite Wayne Rooney.
Rooney’s spectacular effort came in a Manchester derby in 2011 and is remembered as one of the greatest goals in Premier League history.
And supporters on X felt the ex-United captain would have enjoyed the 19-year-old’s strike.

Fans online were quick to praise Garnacho following his sensational goal at Goodison Park
