Como have agreed a deal to sign Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The German is on his way out of Parkhead after a breakout season that saw him score a whopping 21 goals and provide 15 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
The topic of Kuhn’s future has turned into a bit of a saga in recent weeks as it initially looked as though he would return to his former club RB Leipzig, who were said to be in ‘advanced talks’ with him at one point.
More recently, free-spending Serie A side Como emerged as his main suitors, with Cesc Fabregas keen to bolster his side after an encouraging first season back in the top flight of Italian football.
Como have already signed Real Betis youngster Jesus Rodriguez in a sizeable €22.5 million deal that is believed to be capable of rising up to €30m. The Italian club have shattered their club record several times since their promotion, with the 15 most expensive deals in their history all coming over the past 12 months.
Kuhn set to join Como
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Celtic star Kuhn is set to be the latest name added to this growing list of expensive signings as Como have agreed a deal with the Hoops to sign the winger.
The Serie A outfit will part with a hefty €19m to sign Kuhn, who has reached an agreement ‘in principle’ on personal terms with Fabregas’ side. It comes just a day after Romano reported that Como had struck a €14m deal with AZ to sign Jayden Addai.
This has been a source of confusion as it was previously claimed that Como would leave the talks for Kuhn should they manage to seal the signing of Addai.
The 19-year-old Dutchman has already travelled to Italy for his medical tests, but Kuhn, too, is now set to jet off to complete his move. Whatever the case, it seems clear that Celtic will lose their star winger this summer.
