IPL 2024: Rohit Sharma and Suniel Shetty Join Forces to Playfully Tease KL Rahul

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty‘s husband, KL Rahul, became the target of some light-hearted teasing in the latest IPL 2024 advertisement from Dream11, a major IPL sponsor.

Family dinner turned IPL rivalry

The ad features Rahul approaching a table where his father-in-law Suniel Shetty and Mumbai Indians (MI) superstar Rohit Sharma are seated. As Rahul attempts to join them, Rohit playfully declares it a “family dinner” between himself and Shetty, leaving Rahul momentarily flustered. Shetty then adds to the amusement with a witty remark, stating that until the IPL concludes, “Sharmaji ka beta, mera beta (Mr. Sharma’s son is like my son)“.

Social media fun

Rohit shared the video on his social media accounts with a playful caption directed at Rahul: “Family time over @klrahul, ab rivalry time shuru ho gaya hai! @SunielVShetty ab hue humare (Family time over KL Rahul, now it’s time to start the rivalry. Suniel Shetty belongs to us now).”
