As a key player in Australia’s women’s cricket team, she has consistently showcased her skills, contributing to the team’s recent success, including a historic Ashes whitewash against England. The awards ceremony celebrated both male and female cricketers, with Perry’s elegance and poise making her a highlight among the attendees.
The event was notable for the absence of the men’s Test team, who were in Sri Lanka for their series. However, the women’s team was well-represented, with players like Ashleigh Gardner and Annabel Sutherland in contention for top honours. Perry’s appearance added a touch of glamour to the night, as fans took to social media to express their admiration for her style and grace.

Perry wins the WBBL Player of the Tournament award
Ellyse Perry claimed her second WBBL Player of the Tournament award, sharing the honour with Jess Jonassen in a historic tie for the league’s top individual award.
Both Perry, representing Sydney Sixers, and Jonassen, a key player for Brisbane Heat, accumulated 25 votes each during the 10-game home-and-away season, finishing six points ahead of Sydney Thunder’s spinner Samantha Bates.
Jonassen, the WBBL’s all-time leading wicket-taker with 179 dismissals, claimed the award for the first time, while Perry previously won the accolade in WBBL|04. This marked the first-ever tie for the prestigious Player of the Tournament honour in the league’s history.
Perry was the standout batter of WBBL|10, amassing 424 runs at an average of 53 to clinch the Golden Bat. Her exceptional performances also earned her a spot in the Team of the Tournament, and she was also named captain of the WBBL Team of the Decade.
