India strengthened their position by extending the lead to 175 runs while losing seven wickets. Dynamic KL Rahul, who contributed a crucial 86 runs and the resilient Ravindra Jadeja, remaining unbeaten at 81, emerged as the standout performers with the bat. The foundation for India’s lead was laid on Day 1 by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who provided an impressive start with his knock of 80 runs. Despite a couple of late-session wickets, the depth in the Indian lineup showcased their resilience, keeping them in a commanding position.
Jadeja, given a lifeline through a successful review, not only survived but went on to achieve his half-century off 84 deliveries.
