Dean Huijsen’s next transfer could be wrapped up relatively swiftly, with Fabrizio Romano revealing that the Bournemouth defender is expected to choose his next club this month.

The Spain international put in another show-stopping performance against Arsenal on Saturday. Huijsen carried out most of his defensive duties with aplomb and even managed to get on the scoresheet, thereby securing his fourth Man of the Match award of the campaign.

Bournemouth managed to come back from 1-0 down to secure a famous 2-1 victory over the Gunners that threatens to completely derail the latter’s season, leaving them with just a three-point cushion over Man City.

It was another outing from Huijsen that showed just what an elite talent he is and why all of the Premier League’s biggest hitters, including Arsenal, are courting him.

In addition to the Gunners, Chelsea and Liverpool are also pushing to secure the signature of the 20-year-old defender.

Romano on Huijsen

Writing on X after the Arsenal game, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reiterated that Huijsen’s future won’t become a drawn-out saga this summer as all parties are aiming for a swift resolution.

Romano states that Huijsen likely won’t even wait until the special 10-day June window opens to choose his next club and that he will already make a decision this month.

As things stand, Huijsen is still ‘assessing all options,’ but it is clear that he will already know his new employer by the time the first summer window kicks off.

Huijsen has a €60 million release clause that can be paid in instalments, so his suitors won’t have to negotiate with Bournemouth, massively speeding up the process. It seems to be only a matter of time before the Spaniard’s future is decided.
