Ashley Young has lambasted Manchester United for their ‘shambolic’ defending for Crystal Palace’s first goal.
Michael Olise showed excellent skill to put Palace in the lead in the 12th minute but Young was alarmed by the amount of space that United afforded him.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Young said: ‘You look at the first goal, it’s crazy the way they’re set up. Palace have got a throw-in in their own half.
‘It’s just one run from Olise he sees the space and just runs into it. It’s shambolic, Casemiro I don’t know what he’s thinking, Olise sees he’s going to make a challenge, he just walks past him, it’s so easy.’
Carragher claimed that Casemiro, who was playing out of position at centre-back, should have been substituted at half time.

Carragher claimed that Casemiro’s struggles weren’t due to him playing out of position.
Carragher said: ‘This has got nothing to do with playing out of position. That is embarrassing. He needs to come off the pitch. Nothing is worse than Casemiro at centre-back. Put Wan-Bissaka in the middle and put someone at full-back.’
