A Brentford supporter has shockingly fulfilled a promise he made by getting a tattoo dedicated to Neal Maupay.
The French striker has departed the Bees after they decided not to make his loan move from Everton permanent.
He remains a fan favourite among Brentford fans, and one of them claimed he would get a tattoo of Maupay’s choice if the forward replied to him on X.
Maupay did exactly that and urged the supporter to get a tattoo which says ‘Maupay you’re a cheat’, in reference to a claim made by AFTV regular Ty in 2020.
The Brentford fan, Lewis, complied and even went a step further as he also got Maupay’s Brentford shirt tattooed on his arm.

In a an emotional video posted on X, Maupay said: ‘I’m going to miss the club, I can’t lie. It’s a long story for me at Brentford. I came here when I was 20, in 2017, and I was a kid and I didn’t really know about the club. I didn’t really know about English football.
‘Here I am, seven years later, in the Premier League. I’ve played for a few teams, but I’ve never received the love like I have here.
‘The people always love me and appreciate me. They saw that I was a fighter on the pitch and I would give everything for the shirt and the club.
‘I think straight away we had that connection. I’m going to miss them, I’m local and the good moments I had here was absolutely amazing.
‘I wish everyone could experience that because it’s very special. I’ve always tried to give my best for the fans and the club.’
