Police and stewards escorted fans away from an area of the Jimmy McIlroy Stand due to an issue with the stadium roof during the Premier League match between Burnley and Wolves.
The match was in the 21st minute when police and stewards began moving hundreds of fans out of a section of the Jimmy McIlroy Stand.
Pictures on social media showed a piece of metal hanging down dangerously from the roof of the stand.
An area of seating was cordoned off with stewards forming a barrier as the match continued on Tuesday night.
Burnley posted on X: ‘Burnley fans are in the process of being moved from a section of the Jimmy McIlroy stand due to current safety concerns with the roof.

Evacuated fans were taken to the club’s Fan Zone to watch the remainder of the game.
Reporter Steve Madeley tweeted: ‘Section of the Jimmy McIlroy stand evacuated due to some metal hanging down dangerously from the roof above.
‘Burnley fans housed in those seats invited to watch the rest of the game from the FanZone!’
Rayan Ait-Nouri’s third goal in four games earned Wolves a 1-1 draw.
Jacob Bruun Larsen volleyed in a fine goal for the hosts in the 37th minute but Ait-Nouri levelled deep into first-half stoppage time and Burnley’s late push for a winner came to nothing.
The Clarets extended their unbeaten run to four games but Nottingham Forest’s 3-1 win over Fulham saw the gap to safety grow to six points with seven games left while Wolves remain in touch with the battle for European places.
