Reigning Scottish champions Celtic beat Dundee 3-0 on Boxing Day to grab a crucial three points ahead of next week’s Old Firm derby against bitter rivals Rangers.

Paulo Bernardo netted early in the second half to hand Celtic an important opener, before Mikey Johnston struck twice late on in the 83rd and 91st minute to confirm all three points for the travelling side.

Celtic now have a five point lead over Rangers ahead of Saturday’s clash between the title favourites, although Philippe Clement’s side are hot on their heels with two games in hand.
