Celtic’s Perfect Start to 2024 in Paisley: Rodgers’ Men Defeat St. Mirren 3-0, Extend Lead Over Rangers

Celtic got back to business after the highs of an Old Firm derby win with a 3-0 victory at St. Mirren.

Daizen Maeda netted in the first minute and Matt O’Riley doubled their lead five minutes later to give the Scottish Premiership leaders a perfect start in Paisley.

Toyosi Olusanya made the mountain harder to climb for his St. Mirren team-mates when he got sent off in first-half stoppage-time.

And Celtic made good on their advantage, with Greg Taylor scoring on the hour mark.

The result means Celtic move eight points clear of bitter rivals Rangers.

More to follow.
