France booked their place in the quarter-finals of the European Championship after a 1-0 win over Belgium on Monday.

Didier Deschamps’ side laboured for the much of the exchange with the Red Devils and were made to wait until the 85th minute to score the opener.

Randal Kolo Muani made the telling contribution after coming off the bench. The PSG forward’s scuffed shot deflected off Jan Vertonghen and left Koen Casteels stranded.

The World Cup runners up will face the winners of the clash between Portugal and Slovenia in Hamburg on Friday.
