England striker Harry Kane may have gone some way to allay fears over his fitness following Bayern Munich’s win over Darmastadt.
Thomas Tuchel’s side currently sit second in the league and picked up a comfortable win on Saturday despite going 1-0 down inside the opening half hour.
The England captain was on the scoresheet in that 5-2 victory scoring their second in first-half injury time.
But the win would be marred as the 30 year-old limped off during the second-half with an ankle injury.
He collided with the post in the 82nd minute of the game after trying hammer home the rebound from Jamal Musiala’s shot that hit the crossbar.

That left the former Tottenham striker sprawled on the floor immediately calling for treatment.
The injury will have sparked fears for Bayern and England fans alike as it is an issue that has plagued him before.
Following the injury Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said: ‘ ‘He won’t take any risks with the national team.’
Thomas Tuchel had earlier confirmed that the England striker had suffered a sprained ankle, saying: ‘He collided with the post and twisted his ankle a bit – he had his ankle iced. There’s still no diagnosis, we have to wait. I hope it’s nothing bad.’
But there was good news from Bayern Munich’s injury update on their website today.
In a statement they confirmed that ‘the striker traveled to the English national team and is being treated by the team doctors there – in close consultation with the FC Bayern medical department.’
Kane has scored more than anyone in a debut season in the Bundesliga — overtaking Uwe Seeler. He will be hoping to be fit for his return to North London on April 9 when Bayern take on Arsenal in the Champions League.
Kane put Bayern, who face Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals next month, 2-1 up in stoppage time for the first half.

The England international’s header boosted his league tally to 31, more than any player has scored in their first Bundesliga season.
It is also a personal league best for Kane, who scored between Musiala’s two goals but was taken off injured after sliding into the post late in the game.
Meanwhile, substitute Serge Gnabry added their fourth goal in the 74th and Mathys Tel got the fifth in stoppage time before Darmstadt’s Oscar Vilhelmsson pulled back a goal. Darmstadt had taken a 28th-minute lead with Tim Skarke.
The win lifts Bayern to 60 points in second place, with Leverkusen, on 67, travelling to Freiburg on Sunday.
