Harry Kane praises his wife Kate and endearing family for supporting his £100m transfer to Bayern Munich – but reveals he doesn’t know whether his imminent fourth child will be born in Germany or England

Harry Kane revealed that his wife Kate is due to give birth in two weeks’ time, but they are yet to decide if it will happen in Germany or England.

The striker was addressing media for the first time since his £100 million move to Bayern Munich and described how proud he felt as his heavily pregnant wife, their children and other close relatives were in the stadium on Saturday night to watch him make his debut and support him.

Kane, 30, said that Kate, a professional fitness coach and their children are due to fly back to the UK on Monday, but the couple have still not discussed arrangements around the arrival of their fourth child.

Kate, also 30, who was seated in the press briefing in the Allianz Arena smiled as Kane said: ‘The family are due to go back to the UK on Monday, then we will organise how we play that (the birth). We have not made a decision, I will talk to my wife about it.

‘There’s a lot of things to organise. Kids, school, places to live; we have to sort all of that.’

The England captain also revealed that he has still not told his three children; Ivy, 6, Vivienne Jane, 4. and Louis, 2 that Munich is to be their new home.

He admitted: ‘The kids don’t know too much about what’s going on. They were in the stadium yesterday and for them it feels like a vacation. I will have to sit down with them and explain it to them. They are young enough to embrace the culture and they will be fine.’
