Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has revealed that a former Manchester United player is one of two stars that he would most like to sign.
Ilicali’s Acun Medya company purchased Hull in 2022 from Assem Allam.
Hull are currently in ninth place in the Championship and are six points adrift of the play-off spots, but they have two games in hand on Norwich, who are sixth in the table.
Ilicali believes that one ex-United star would be an excellent addition to the Hull team.
The player in question spent five years at United before leaving Old Trafford last summer.

31-year-old midfielder Fred is currently playing for Turkish side Fenerbahce.
Asked which players he would like to sign for Hull, Ilicali told Sabah: ‘If I had the right to buy two footballers at the end of the season, I would close my eyes and buy Fred.’
Ilicali added that a midfield trio of Fred, Jean-Michael Seri and Ozan Tufan would be hugely exciting to watch.
He said: ‘Seri-Fred-Ozan trio would be so good that you can sit and watch it with pleasure.’
Ilicali revealed that the other player he would like to sign is experienced Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
He said: ‘Take Muslera, welcome to the Premier League.’
During his time at United, Fred made 213 appearances and scored 14 goals, while he provided 18 assists.
Last season, Fred started in the Carabao Cup final as Erik ten Hag’s side won 2-0 against Newcastle. He also started the Red Devils’ 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
