Inter Miami’s postseason tour of China has been plunged into chaos after organizers mysteriously cancelled the team’s second game for ‘various reasons’.

Just six days before Lionel Messi and Co are set to fly over, Miami is now only scheduled to play one friendly against Chinese Super League club Qingdao Hainiu on November 5 – which was also subject to a last-minute location change.

Tata Martino’s men were also set to take on another Super League side in Chengdu Rongcheng three days later, but according to South China Morning Post, that game has now been cancelled for reasons which remain unclear.

After jetting out to China next Thursday, Miami will take on Qingdao three days later at Wuyuan River Stadium in Haikou.

It remains to be seen as to whether the MLS club will arrange a new friendly to follow it in the wake of the cancellation with Chengdu.
