Sheffield United hosted West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday and it’s game that has plenty of history to it.
The game has been labelled the ‘Carlos Tevez derby’ and it all dates back to the 2006/07 season.
The Hammers shocked English football when they pulled off the signings of both Tevez and fellow Argentinian Mascherano.
They still looked destined to be relegated before a stunning late recovery in the final two months of the season, inspired by Tevez.
West Ham’s revival came at the cost of Sheffield United, who were relegated that season.
The London club went on to enjoy multiple top half finishes while the Blades didn’t return to the Premier League until 2019.
Sheffield United believe they were cheated by controversial signings of Tevez and Mascherano.

Tevez’s surprise arrival at Upton Park alongside Javier Mascherano in August 2006 was adjudged to have broken Premier League rules over third-party ownership of players.
