The Klopp Farewell: Emotional Goodbye as Former Liverpool Boss Leaves Merseyside

Jurgen Klopp was spotted boarding a private jet to leave Liverpool after bidding a final farewell to the Merseyside giants.

The German boss said an emotional goodbye to the club just over a week ago as he brought the curtain down on a hugely decorated nine-year spell at Anfield.

He then returned on Tuesday night for ‘An Evening With Jurgen Klopp’ – an event at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena where he broke down in tears as he said goodbye.

Now, Klopp and his wife Ulla have been seen departing the city one final time as they prepared to set off for their next chapter.

It’s a quick turn-around for Klopp, who had been overcome with emotion less than 24 hours before after viewing an emotional montage of the his time at Liverpool.

He then stood up and put his hand on his heart to acknowledge the support, before giving his famous fist pumps that he so often did while celebrating big victories as Liverpool manager.

The 56-year-old has quickly taken to life outside the game since his departure from Liverpool as he jetted into Majorca with Ulla last week.

MailOnline previously revealed that Klopp was set to stay at a luxury five-star hotel in the Balearic Islands.

Klopp will spend time at Kimpton Aysla Hotel with his wife of 20 years, while construction work finishes on their new £3.4million villa.

The mansion has been billed as an ‘ecological family paradise’, which he purchased in June 2022 for €4million (£3.4m) from Swiss businessman and artist Rolf Knie and decided to completely rebuild.

Meanwhile, Klopp revealed two weeks ago that his initial plans after leaving Liverpool were to have a holiday and go to the Champions League final to watch his former team Borussia Dortmund.

‘It’s not that I tried a lot (previously to go on holiday), so I didn’t have time,’ Klopp told Liverpool’s club website.

‘I had time but a summer holiday for me at least at the end of the season was like falling on the first available sunbed and having a phone here and talking to agents, sporting directors, stuff like that.

‘Having no training sessions, yes, but the rest was pretty much still going on. So that means I didn’t see one per cent of the world for nothing.

‘Now we will do nothing, we will watch the Euros here and there, (I’m) really looking forward to that and then a holiday doing nothing and then the plan is start to travel and we will see how that goes.’
