Manchester United are one of the most successful clubs in the history of football, and they remain England’s best-supported side despite the trophies drying up in recent seasons.
The Red Devils still have one of the biggest wage bills in the sport, and it was revealed that during the 2021-22 season, they spent a Premier League record £384 million on wages, which was a rise of £62m from the previous campaign.
That came off the back of a high-profile summer transfer window, in which they signed the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, all of whom commanded large salaries.
