It was somewhat of a calm winter window but there’s no doubt that the upcoming market will to as frenziest as ever, with a number of players potentially leaving for over the €100million mark.

Here FootballTransfers goes through some of the likiest – and biggest – potential moves for the summer.

Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has been linked with a Premier League switch for years. Several elite clubs are suggested to like the forward, most prominently Chelsea and Arsenal. Both clubs are looking for a No.9 ahead of the following season and there is the feeling that Osimhen has already done all he needs to do at Napoli.

Recently the Nigerian striker addressed the rumours about a possible move to England. He said via TNT Sports: “The rumour is going around about me linked with the Premier League. Of course, when you’re one of the hottest strikers in the world you expect this type of thing, it’s one of the biggest and best leagues in the world.

“For me, I’m with Napoli, signed a new contract, and enjoying my time there with the team, at the end of the season I’ve already made up my mind, I already know what I want to do in my career.

Rafael Leao

Another Serie A entry is Rafael Leao, AC Milan’s attacker. Reports have stated that Barcelona will look to sign him if they’re able to get the funds together. Newcastle are another club that have been linked to the Portugal international. But the biggest story is Paris Saint Germain’s interest in Leao. The club may need to fill the void if Kylian Mbappe does not sign a new deal and instead joins Real Madrid.

PSG held an interest in Leao last summer when Lionel Messi and Neymar left, but no offer was made. This was partly because Mbappe changed his mind and ended up staying with the Ligue 1 giants.

But now Mbappe’s future is up in the air, a move could be made by the club, who will be looking for a suitable replacement for their legendary star.

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah is likely to be courted once more by the Saudi Pro League side after a move there failed to materialise last summer.

The Egyptian is one of three Liverpool players, alongside star men Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contracts are up in 2025.

Last summer, Liverpool rejected a staggering €175million offer from Al-Ittihad for Salah. The club made their first official move for the Egypt international via made in a phone call to Mike Gordon, president of Liverpool’s owner, Fenway Sports Group. But now the dust has settled with that, it’s thought that they might well come back in.

Bruno Guimaraes

Bruno Guimaraes boasts a release clause in excess of €116 million, with Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Barcelona all linked. Indeed, there is certainly interest from Spain following Guimaraes’ impressive performances since joining Newcastle in 2022. During the summer, Liverpool offered a package including add-ons, but PSG sent a higher fee than the Merseyside club. However, both clubs were met with a firm no from Newcastle, who see Guimaraes as one of their star players.

Frenkie de Jong

Frenkie de Jong is a man who was extensively linked to Manchester United the year before last. Barcelona still owe the midfielder wages, according to reports, while reports suggest now that the club have issued an ultimatum insisting that he either accepts the contract, which has been available since November, or presents a counteroffer. Tottenham have been linked to the player, too, but it’s not clear whether De Jong will look to push for a move away from the Catalan giants.
