An American MMA fighter has sparked outrage among fans after taking a selfie video with his opponent on his phone just moments after claiming a knockout victory.
Kam Arnold squared off with rival Seth Basler in the co-main event at regional promotion ‘NEF 60: OPEN SEASON’ in Bangor, Maine over the weekend.
Arnold, who fights at bantamweight with a record of 6-1, caught Basler clean on the chin with a left hook at just over three and a half minutes into the third round, sending his opponent crashing to the canvas and finishing the contest.
In a clip that has circulated widely on social media, Arnold can then be seen grabbing a mobile phone from someone cageside and recording himself gloating after the victory.
Arnold records footage of himself with Basler, who is rising unsteadily to his feet, before climbing onto the cage to celebrate.
Fight fans on social media blasted Arnold for the celebration.
‘That’s pretty classless,’ posted one X user.
‘That’s next-level disrespect. Taking a selfie after the KO? Wild!’ replied another.

In September, Ailin Perez celebrated her win over Daria Zheleznyakova at UFC Paris by twerking on her opponent’s face
It comes after a similar event in September, when UFC fighter Ailin Perez celebrated her first-round victory by twerking on her opponent as she got up from the canvas.
During the fight night in Paris, the Argentine took on UFC newcomer Daria Zheleznyakova of Russia.
With a minute and change left in the opening round, Perez secured an arm triangle, forcing her opponent to submit early.
Perez then quickly got up and began shaking her rear end on Zheleznyakova’s face as she gathered herself. As Zheleznyakova walked away, Perez repositioned her twerking to keep rubbing the win on her opponent.
