The Oklahoma City Thunder are bringing back Lindy Waters III on a two-way contract, the team announced Friday.
The former Norman North and Oklahoma State standout signed a two-way contract with the Thunder on Feb. 10, 2022. He then averaged 5.2 points and 1.8 rebounds on 35.8% shooting from 3-point range last season.
OKC converted Waters’ deal a standard NBA contract on Feb. 27, 2023. The two-year, $3.8 million contract included a team option for the 2023-24 season, which the Thunder declined on June 30.
With this move, OKC will have filled two of its three two-way contracts for next season. Waters joins Keyontae Johnson, a former Kansas State standout who didn’t get selected in the most recent NBA Draft.
