Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has agreed to a four-year, $212million extension, making him the best paid player in franchise history.
Last season, Goff led the Lions to the brink of the Super Bowl before the team lost the Conference Championship game to the San Francisco 49ers.
The terms of the deal can see Goff earn $53m-a-year – more than Patrick Mahomes currently takes home at $45m-a-season.
