NFL rookie Kool-Aid McKinstry made his first big purchase by buying a heartwarming Mother’s Day gift for his mom, Geneva Allen.

On Sunday, McKinstry shared the moment he gifted his mom a G Wagon at a Mercedes Benz dealership in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Instagram post led with a video of McKinstry and Allen at the dealership and the proud mom’s reaction. While it is unclear if Allen knew she would receive the $140,000 vehicle, the video showed her breaking down in tears.

‘First purchase,’ McKinstry captioned. ‘Congrats Ma u deserve it all.’

The post also included a picture of them hugging in front of the vehicle and Allen fighting tears upon seeing the car’s interior. In the video, they drove off in the G Wagon before the words ‘a promise made good’ appeared on the screen.

The former Alabama cornerback was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft and is set to sign a rookie contract worth almost $10million.

McKinstry, whose real name is Ga’Quincy, already scored an endorsement deal with Kool-Aid as a freshman in Alabama. McKinstry got the nickname from his grandmother over his big smile and decided to run with it throughout his career.

As a member of the Crimson Tide, Kool-Aid was one of the nation’s top cornerbacks with a first-team All-American and two first-team All-SEC selections.

After getting selected by the Saints, McKinstry said he wanted to pay his mom back for all the sacrifices she made for him.

‘Gotta make up for ALL THEM NIGHTS that my momma cried,’ he wrote after getting drafted.
