Travis Kelce 'splurges $140k on luxury Valentine's Day gifts for Taylor Swift… just days after losing the Super Bowl'

Taylor Swift was reportedly treated to $140k worth of luxury Valentine’s Day gifts by Travis Kelce just days after his crushing Super Bowl defeat.

Kelce is considering retirement following the Kansas City Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month in New Orleans, where they failed to pull off a historic three-peat.

And in the aftermath of that humbling result, The US Sun claims he took his mind off football by splashing the cash on his girlfriend for Valentine’s Day.

Incredibly, Travis spent 10 times more on Taylor this year than he did in 2024, after he showered her with $14k worth of gifts last year.

This time around he splurged an astonishing $140k on his high-profile valentine, who received a number of extravagant items from her beau.

Kelce is said to take pride in spoiling Swift and being a ‘nice gentleman’ when they are in each other’s company.

And on their second Valentine’s Day as a couple, he forked out a six-figure sum on gold watches, necklaces, dresses and flowers.

‘Travis knows that Taylor loves Valentine’s day, as they both are very romantic and people that enjoy every day and event that celebrate love and passion,’ an insider is quoted as saying. ‘He pays attention to every thing she says about items she find cute and nice, he pretty much as a list on his phone where he has notes on things she says and pieces she loves!

‘That is something that is very important for him, as he loves to make here nice presents, things that she loves and make her smile every time he can.’

An estimated $114,700 of Kelce’s Valentine’s Day shopping spree came on watches, with Swift receiving two high-end Cartier timepieces.

The ‘La Panthère de Cartier’, valued at $82,500, features a clock face between two panther heads. It is crafted with 18 karat yellow gold and also features 128 diamonds totaling 1.08 carat.

Kelce also bought her a ‘Panthère de Cartier’ encased in rose gold and diamonds, which sells for $32,200.

To finish off the look, he purchased a Cartier ‘Love Pendant’ necklace also made from 18 karat yellow gold for $2,530.

The NFL star couldn’t leave out some flowers, spending close to $1k on a box of Venus Et Fleur’s Le Duo Magnifique, which includes between 85 and 90 eternity roses.

He is also believed to have showered Taylor with over $20k worth of other luxurious items of clothing and Louis Vuitton accessories.

The pop megastar is able to enjoy some downtime with her man over the next few months after wrapping up her worldwide Eras Tour at the back end of last year.

Kelce, meanwhile, will either walk away from the NFL for good or enjoy a short break before preseason camp begins over the summer.

The loved-up couple are yet to spend an extended period of time together, with Swift still in the thick of the Eras Tour when they first met in 2023.

It remains to be seen whether Kelce chooses to hang up his cleats after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss, a decision which would free up his schedule significantly.

  • NFL insider reveals team Aaron Rodgers could join next amid 'quarterback dominos'

NFL insider reveals team Aaron Rodgers could join next amid 'quarterback dominos'

Aaron Rodgers’ NFL future could soon become clearer as the LA Rams weigh up what to do with quarterback Matthew Stafford.

The quarterback, 37, is due $35million this upcoming season, though none of it is guaranteed, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter said on his latest podcast episode that the two sides are working on a new deal.

And while both the Rams and Stafford reportedly want to continue their partnership, Schefter said that Rodgers would be ‘thrilled’ with the idea of playing for the NFC West squad if given the opportunity.

The insider noted that the situation between the Rams and Stafford ‘could change very quickly,’ which could make Rodgers a serious option for the Super Bowl LVI champions if ‘quarterback dominoes’ start to fall.

Rodgers, after just 18 games with the Jets, was informed that the team would be moving on from him under the new regime of head coach Aaron Glenn and GM Darren Mougey.

The team went just 5-12 last season in what turned out to be a disastrous year for Gang Green.

And Aaron Rodgers could wind up in LA if given the chance to join the NFC West franchise

And Aaron Rodgers could wind up in LA if given the chance to join the NFC West franchise

Nonetheless, the quarterback put up decent counting stats with the Jets (3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns) and reportedly wants to continue playing into his age-41 season.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said last week that Rodgers was not done playing, though he expressed doubt that he’d want to be a ‘bridge’ for a team unlikely to make the playoffs.

‘If it were up to him, with a perfect spot, he wants to play,’ Rapoport added.

Stafford, meanwhile, performed well in the playoffs before the Rams narrowly lost in the divisional round to the eventual champion Eagles.

The Giants, who are also in the market for a quarterback after releasing Daniel Jones midseason, have also been linked with Stafford.

Big Blue hired his brother-in-law, Chad Hall, as their assistant quarterbacks coach last week, and Schefter pointed out their relation to one another in reporting the news.

However, he later told Pat Leonard ‘there is no way in hell’ the Giants would trade their No. 3 overall pick for the passer.

Rodgers won’t be officially released until June 1, but he is allowed to talk to other teams after the Jets announced their breakup with him.

Lamar Jackson looks unrecognizable as Ravens QB unveils shock new hairstyle

Lamar Jackson shocked fans with a new hairstyle on Tuesday as he ditched his braids for a new look.

The quarterback has mostly worn braids in the NFL since being drafted by the Ravens in 2018, while he has also sported an afro on several occasions.

But the passer looked dramatically different this week when he shared a picture of himself sitting in a barber’s chair, with his hair straightened and sitting about shoulder-length.

It’s not clear if the photo shared by Jackson was the finished product or merely mid-haircut, but fans had some humorous reactions to the picture.

Several on X compared him to Katt Williams, while Jackson himself seemed to be emulating rapper Snoop Dogg.

The quarterback captioned his Instagram story ‘Bones,’ the name of the 2001 movie in which the famous music artist sported long, straightened hair as well.

Others likened Jackson to ’emo Jimmy’ Butler, a reference to when the basketball player showed up to the Miami Heat’s 2023 media day with a rocker-esque, straightened hair look.

And several hilariously compared the hairstyle to Terry Crews’ ‘President Camacho’ character in the 2006 comedy ‘Idiocracy.’

Jackson is about a month removed from his Ravens suffering a heartbreaking 27-25 loss to the Bills in the AFC divisional round.

The two-time MVP then saw Josh Allen get the better of him again as the Buffalo quarterback pipped him to the award at the NFL Honors ahead of the Super Bowl.

Jackson is a ridiculous 70-24 as a starter, but Ravens fans will hope it finally translates to postseason success in 2025.

Jason Kelce reveals huge change in brother Travis amid Taylor Swift romance

Jason Kelce has noticed a significant change in little brother Travis since he started dating Taylor Swift – he’s finally growing up.

During an appearance on the Fitz & Whit podcast this week, Jason, 37, compared Travis to ‘Peter Pan’ after claiming his 35-year-old sibling is very much young at heart.

However, he believes that is now beginning to change amid his high-profile romance with Swift.

‘One of the things I love so much about Travis is he never grew up,’ Jason initially said about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

When asked if Travis is now starting to grow up, he then appeared to reference Taylor by saying: ‘For sure, it’s changing. I think that sometimes you get people in your life that maybe get that out of you, and that’s a good thing.

‘Trav, he is growing up. He’s still though got that youthful enthusiasm. It’s just part of his personality.’

Travis’ high-profile romance with Taylor has dominated headlines ever since the pop megastar attended one of his NFL games for the first time back in September 2023.

Over the past 18 months, their relationship has continued to go from strength to strength, with Swift’s die-hard fans desperate to see them get engaged and start a family together.

And Jason has certainly spotted a newfound maturity in Travis, revealing how his brother has even started splashing the cash on luxury furniture in his mid-30s.

‘He had these couches, they were like green velvet… over the top couches. I’m not gonna say the dollar amount,’ the Philadelphia Eagles legend recalled. ‘He said it’s an investment. “It’s art Jason.”

‘I came back maybe six months after that and one of the couches was pushed up against the wall. I said, “Why’d you move the couch?” He pulls the couch back… he’d just got a puppy and the puppy had chewed a hole in it.’

Jason’s comments on Travis ‘growing up’ come amid uncertainty over the latter’s future in the NFL.

Following the Chiefs’ defeat to the Eagles at the Super Bowl earlier this month, Kelce revealed he is contemplating retirement as he weighs up whether the time has come to bow out from football.

Speaking with Jason on their New Heights podcast last week, Travis sounded more out than in but admitted he was everything but certain when deciding if his playing days were done.

‘I know everybody wants to know whether or not I’m playing next year, and right now I’m just kicking everything down the road. I’m kicking every can I can down the road,’ he said.

‘I’m not making any crazy decisions [yet]. Right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding there’s a lot that goes into this thing.’

He continued: ‘The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and these Super Bowls, that means I’m playing an extra three games than everybody else in the entire league.

‘That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body and it’s a lot of time spent in the building, focusing on your craft, focusing on the task at hand, every challenge that you set up for yourself. That process can be grueling, it can weigh on you.

‘It can make you better [but] it can drive you crazy at the same time, and right now it’s one of those things where it was kind of driving me crazy this year.’

  • Floyd Mayweather looking to buy stake in NFL team as boxing legend 'prepares 0m offer'

Floyd Mayweather looking to buy stake in NFL team as boxing legend 'prepares $700m offer'

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is set to launch a $700million bid to become a part-owner of the New York Giants, according to reports.

TMZ Sports claims Mayweather, widely considered one of the greatest fighters of all time, is leading a consortium looking to purchase a 10 percent stake in the NFL franchise this year.

The 47-year-old and business partner Meyer Orbach, a prominent real estate magnate, are said to be readying an offer in the region of $700m and plan to submit it soon.

It is believed another wealthy investor will also hop on board before they put forward the proposal to the Giants.

Mayweather, who raked in more than $1bn over the course of his iconic boxing career, has already moved $200m into an escrow account amid his plans to buy a stake in the team, the report adds.

Unlike the 50-0 great, however, Orbach already has experience in buying a sports franchise, as he still currently owns just under 20 percent of the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves.

‘My partners and I are always looking at different opportunities, including ownership of sports teams. I can’t comment further than that,’ he is quoted as saying by TMZ about his rumored bid with Mayweather.

The Giants, one of two ‘New York’ NFL franchises along with the Jets, are one of the sport’s most decorated teams after winning four Super Bowls in their 100-year existence.

It was recently revealed that owners John Mara, whose grandfather Tim founded the franchise, and Steve Tisch are looking to cash in on part of their stake in New York.

According to Forbes, the Giants are currently worth an estimated $7.5bn.

They just endured another horror season under head coach Brian Daboll, failing to make it into the playoffs for the second straight year after going 3-14.

Since they last won the Super Bowl in the 2011 campaign, the Giants have only reached the postseason twice in 13 years.

Mayweather is understood to already have the backing of two members of the Mara and Tisch families, who each own a 50 percent stake in the team, after receiving letters of support ahead of his proposed bid.

Back in December, he also added another prized property in New York City to his real estate empire after spending $20m to purchase a building in Midtown Manhattan along Sixth Avenue that stretches almost a quarter of a block.

The former five-weight world champion generated record amounts of cash over the course of his career, sweeping up close to $300m alone from his final professional contest against Conor McGregor in 2017.

Since that lucrative crossover event, Mayweather has taken part in a number of exhibition bouts, including against social-media sensation Logan Paul.

Pittsburgh Steelers emerge as shock contender for Daniel Jones with QB in free agency after Giants nightmare

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly emerged as a potential destination for Daniel Jones, with the quarterback searching for a new team.

The 27-year-old Jones left the Giants midway through last season after a second straight campaign of disaster.

Jones asked to be released and joined the Minnesota Vikings for the remainder of the season, although ultimately didn’t play for the team as they made the first round of the postseason.

Now, it has been claimed that Jones could have an opening at the Steelers, according to Pittsburgh sports radio host Andrew Fillipponi.

He posted on X: ‘Source: There’s interest in former Giants QB Daniel Jones inside the Steelers organization.

‘Quote: “[The Steelers] could do a lot worse than Jones.” With the belief he actually is a good fit for Arthur Smith’s offense. And Mike Tomlin’s preference for a mobile quarterback.’

Travis Kelce goes AWOL as he agonizes over retirement decision after Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl loss

Fans hoping for an update on Travis Kelce’s retirement verdict are going to have to be patient after it emerged there will be no New Heights episode this week.

Kelce, 35, is weighing up whether to play on for the Kansas City Chiefs after an emphatic loss in the Super Bowl to Philadelphia Eagles rounded out an underwhelming individual season with a crushing defeat.

The tight end has seemingly gone to ground since last week’s episode, where at times he became emotional as he spoke to older brother and co-host Jason about what the future might hold.

‘No new episode this week, but WE’LL BE BACK with offseason episodes and amazing guests soon,’ the podcast said on their X account on Tuesday.

Speaking last week on the show, Kelce sounded more out than in but admitted he was everything when it came to deciding for certain if his playing days were done.

‘It can make you better [but] it can drive you crazy at the same time, and right now it’s one of those things where it was kind of driving me crazy this year. It happens when you kind of tail off towards the back nine of your career.

‘When you feel yourself not have the success that you used to have, it’s a tough pill to swallow.’

Since that episode, the legendary tight end has not been seen.

It has been reported that girlfriend Taylor Swift has been supporting Kelce since the 40-22 loss to the Eagles in New Orleans.

A source was recently quoted by Page Six as saying: ‘Taylor knows Travis took this loss very hard but she couldn’t be more proud of him regardless of the outcome.

‘They are looking forward to enjoying some downtime. They knew that Taylor’s Eras Tour would be wrapping in December and football season would be coming to an end now so they had planned for this time to focus on some alone time to just be together.

‘Taylor and Travis are going to take some time away to vacation with just the two of them, talk about their future and just relax.’

Four teams enter the race for Davante Adams ahead of expected New York Jets exit

Davante Adams could be switching the East Coast for the West in free agency, according to a report.

The wide receiver made a shock move to the New York Jets to reunite with Aaron Rodgers during the 2024 season, but is now expected to follow his quarterback out of the Big Apple.

The Jets will ‘probably’ release the 32-year-old in order to free up ‘almost $30million’ in cap space as Aaron Glenn’s rebuild picks up pace, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

The wideout is said to be interested in a number of teams should he indeed leave New York with four teams believed to be in the race.

‘He will have options, and I’m told that he is intrigued by the West Coast,’ Fowler said during an appearance on SportsCenter.

‘You have teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, maybe San Francisco 49ers. He’s from the West Coast, so it’s a possibility he could end up there. Maybe the Packers want to run it back to him as well if they could involved there.’

The Chargers could look to add another receiver to compliment Ladd McConkey, while the Rams might target Adams to replace Cooper Kupp’s receiving threat amid his uncertain future in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, the 49er missed the playoffs for the first time since 2020 this year but are expected to make a return to the postseason in the 2025 season amid an offseason rebuild.

Adams opened the season with the Las Vegas Raiders but was acquired by the Jets in an October 15 trade.

Adams became a star in Green Bay alongside Rodgers and reunited with his former quarterback following the trade.

Unfortunately for Adams, Rodgers and the Jets, the duo didn’t quite recapture their former glory from Green Bay, although the receiver did make 67 catches for 854 yards and seven touchdowns in just 11 games for the Jets.

Now, both players could be plying their craft elsewhere next season. Rodgers’ exit from New York was confirmed last week, after new head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey decided to move in a different direction.

Rodgers is said to want to keep playing and on Sunday reports claimed that the quarterback ‘aggressively’ urged the Jets to stick with him for at least another season.

According to the New York Post , Rodgers had several conversation with the team last week and repeatedly asked to stay amid fears his career could fizzle out.

It’s claimed that the Jets had already decided the quarterback’s fate by the time he had a first face-to-face meeting with Mougey and Glenn.

Rodgers spent two years with the Jets. His first season lasted just four snaps after he tore his Achilles.

Last year, meanwhile, the Jets struggled to 5-12 and extended their record playoff drought to 14 years.

The marriage was officially ended on Thursday, with the team announcing its intention to ‘move in a different direction.’

Green Bay Packers set to cut cornerback on lucrative deal to free up cap space

The Green Bay Packers are reportedly on the verge of cutting cornerback Jaire Alexander to make room in the team’s salary cap this offseason.

After an 11-6 season, the Packers fell to eventual Super Bowl champions Philadelphia in the playoffs. With the season in the rearview, they are left with important decisions to make during the offseason.

Among the players reportedly on the chopping block is Alexander, who could make $17.5million if he remains in Green Bay next year.

With multiple sources reporting the Packers’ frustration with Alexanders’ inability to stay healthy, general manager Brian Gutekunst has remained noncommittal about his future.

‘I know it’s been really, really frustrating for not only him as a player, but us as a club,’ Gutekunst said.

‘When you have a player who’s done what he’s done for us in the past, and then not being able to get him out on the field consistently, that’s tough. You know it’s tough on the player, tough on the organization,’ he continued.

Alexander has appeared in seven of 17 regular season games. Despite practicing semi-regularly, he did not play past November 17.

Furthermore, Alexander went on injury reserve for the last week of the season and underwent surgery for what he said was a torn PCL. Despite his lack of playtime, Alexander led the team in pass breakups with seven and interceptions with two.

Alexander has two years left on his four-year, $84m extension that made him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL at the time.

Green Bay could pick up close to $6.8m in salary cap space for 2025 if they release Alexander. The allowance would be more than $17m if they designate him a cut past June 1.

Alexander, who the team drafted in the first round of the 2018 draft, has yet to comment on the situation. On the last day of media availability this season, he said he had ‘nothing good to say,’ and was not sure if he would return to Green Bay.

Troubled former NFL star Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson says he has been dumped by his therapist

Ex-NFL player Chad ‘Ochocino’ Johnson has been dumped by his therapist for ‘using derogatory language uncontrollably’, he has revealed in an emotional social media post.

The 47-year-old, who played the majority of his career for the Cincinnati Bengals, has faced struggles in the past.

He was arrested in 2012 on domestic violence charges after allegations were made by his then-wife, Evelyn Lozada, and they divorced soon after. He served a week in jail in 2013 when, at the hearing where he pleaded no contest to claims he headbutted Lozado, he slapped his male attorney’s buttocks.

On Tuesday, alongside a broken heart emoji, Johnson wrote on X: ‘Good morning, my therapist just terminated our remaining sessions & sent my deposit because I haven’t improved & I’m still using derogatory language uncontrollably at times.’

Johnson has previously said that he doesn’t drink because his later mother had struggles with alcohol.

‘Growing up, my mom was an alcoholic and she would drink, extremely heavily,’ he said last year. ‘Seeing her become someone I didn’t even recognize when she was consumed with alcohol was probably a reason why I stayed away from it when I was younger.’

In 2021 Johnson made an emotional appearance on the ‘I AM ATHLETE’ podcast where he wept while reflecting on his mother’s death.

Buffalo Bills stars spent Presidents’ Day in a very fitting fashion on Monday.

Several members of the Bills kicked off their offseason by hitting the golf course with President Donald Trump Monday.

Spencer Brown, Dalton Kincaid, Sam Martin, Ryan Van Demark and Tommy Doyle were spotted with the 47th President at Trump International Golf Club Palm Beach down in Florida.

Offensive tackle Brown shared the photo of his teammates with Trump to his Instagram, writing, ’45-47,’ in the caption.

Doyle sported a red ‘Make America Great Again’ cap, matching the president’s own hat, which has been his signature throughout his campaigns in 2016, 2020, and 2024.

‘Met the president on Presidents’ Day,’ Doyle wrote on his Instagram stories.

However, while the players proudly displayed their support for the Commander-in-Chief, their fans were left furious.

‘Could not possibly be more disappointed, I wish you kept it to yourself,’ one seething Bills fan wrote in the comments section of Brown’s post.

‘CTE setting in early I see,’ another posted referring to the brain disease frequently found in NFL players, while a third added: ‘bro, nooo. this is worse than finding out santa isn’t real.’

‘[Elon] Musk let him out to play?’ one supporter sarcastically asked, referring to the Tesla and SpaceX founder who has been a near-permanent figure by Trump’s side since taking office.

‘Welp, Dalton’s 2nd biggest drop of the year,’ another quipped, in a mod to Kincaid’s crucial drop against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

‘What a huge f***ing disappointment. As a Canadian bills fan I was deciding if I should go to bills games still while he is in office…this just helped me decide,’ one fan north of the border chimed in amid the currently tense relationship between the United States and Canada.

Meanwhile, another suggested the post should cost the players their spot on the roster, writing: ‘Good news is that all of the guys in this photo are easily replaceable.’

  • Charles Omenihu drops cryptic hint at a standoff in Chiefs contract talks, days after telling Travis Kelce to stay

Charles Omenihu drops cryptic hint at a standoff in Chiefs contract talks, days after telling Travis Kelce to stay

Charles Omenihu posted a cryptic message on social media Tuesday night amid speculation over his future with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The defensive end played just nine games for the Chiefs this season after tearing his ACL in January 2024, an injury which kept him out of their Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers.

He also missed the opening six games of his first season in Kansas City due to a suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy following an alleged domestic-violence incident in January 2023 when with the 49ers.

Omenihu was signed through the 2024 season with a base salary of $6.74million and a cap number of $10.97m but it remains to be seen if the Chiefs will make him an offer to stay.

Amid the uncertainty, the 27-year-old posted on X on Tuesday: ‘Know your worth’.

He then followed that up with a message trying to clarify his position, adding: ‘Please don’t read into I say on this app during this time period don’t need yall making assumptions.’

Chiefs star makes desperate plea to Travis Kelce to keep on playing

    article image

Omenihu’s comments come days after he urged Travis Kelce not to retire on the back of their Super Bowl humbling, telling him: ‘We can’t go out like that.’

Kansas City is still reeling from a miserable 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans, where they failed to become the first team of the Super Bowl era to pull off a famous three-peat.

On the back of that loss, the 35-year-old tight end revealed in last week’s episode of New Heights that he is now considering retirement.

Yet Omenihu is desperate for Kelce to play on next season and during an appearance on FS1’s The Facility, he backed his teammate to ‘give it one more go’ in 2025 after stressing that he still has ‘a lot left’.

‘We can’t go out like that,’ Omenihu said about Kelce. ‘He’s a Hall of Famer from the moment he says he’s done. But I think Trav has a lot left, I think Trav is an extreme competitor, I think he’s somebody that loves the game… and [after] the storied career that he’s had, going out like that in my opinion wouldn’t be something that he would do.

‘So I believe that he’ll be back, I believe that he’ll give it one more go. We have guys coming back on that team, Rashee [Rice] is gonna be back, so that’s gonna help out the offense.

‘Whatever holes that the team has, Coach Reid and Brett [Veach, general manager] do a great job of getting on top of it real quick, they’re not gonna overlook anything that may have been the reason why we didn’t come out on top.

‘So it’s gonna be a refuel and get back to it.’

  • Huge update on Jerry Jones trial with Cowboys owner accused of kissing woman on mouth and forcibly grabbing her

Huge update on Jerry Jones trial with Cowboys owner accused of kissing woman on mouth and forcibly grabbing her

The civil assault lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, which was filed more than four years ago, has been delayed again.

Jones, 82, is accused of ‘kissing a woman on the mouth and forcibly grabbing her without her consent’ on September 16, 2018 at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium.

The case, which was initially filed by a South Carolina woman in September 2020, was slated to go trial on March 3 but has now been pushed back to August 11, according to The Dallas Morning News.

It is the second time in a year that the trial date has been rescheduled. It had initially been set for March 18, 2024 before being delayed until March of this year.

Jones, who has been married to his wife Eugenia since 1963, previously submitted an affidavit stating that he would testify that he does not recall the alleged victim.

He denied sexually assaulting her and branded the allegations against him ‘categorically false.’

The civil lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been delayed yet again

His attorneys requested a new trial date to be set at least six months out to allow more time for the pre-trial discovery phase. In a hearing last week, Dallas County District Court Judge Aiesha Redmond ruled that the trial would be delayed.

The case had been dismissed in 2022 after being filed two years earlier, only for a state appellate court to reverse that decision a year later.

When the lawsuit was first filed, Jones was quick to deny the accusations and branded them ‘malicious and hurtful’.

The case was originally against both Jones and the Dallas Cowboys, amid accusations that team officials ‘knew or should have known of’ the owner’s ‘misconduct’. Later, the NFL was added as a defendant in the case.

The woman accusing Jones of personal injury has said the alleged assault caused her to suffer ‘severe emotional distress’, ‘psychological pain and suffering’ and medical costs.

Jones has owned the Dallas Cowboys since 1989. He bought the franchise for $150million and is worth an estimated $13.6billion.

They have won the Super Bowl three times under his ownership – in 1993, 1994 and 1996.

Jones was also recently locked in a legal battle involving another woman. Alexandra Davis claimed to be Jones’s biological daughter.

However, the Cowboys owner managed to avoid a paternity test when the case came to an abrupt end last July.

Davis, who first filed a paternity lawsuit against Jones in 2022, agreed to dismiss her pending lawsuits against the Cowboys owner ‘with prejudice.’ Jones, meanwhile, dropped his countersuit against Davis, which had included a $1.6 million demand to cover attorney fees.

New York Jets enter race for free agent quarterback Justin Fields after getting rid of Aaron Rodgers

The New York Jets are in the running to sign Justin Fields from the Pittsburgh Steelers after their quarterback slot opened up behind divorcing Aaron Rodgers.

On February 13, Rodgers’ lackluster tenure with the Jets ended after two seasons, one of which he sat out with an Achilles tear in his first game for the team.

With the team looking for a new facilitator, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Monday’s Sports Center that the Jets are a ‘sleeper option’ for Fields in Free Agency.

‘They could have some interest; they like the idea of a dual-threat quarterback,’ he continued. ‘He’s younger. I’m told Fields has looked at that roster, sees some intrigue there too.

‘They have some good young pieces, like Garrett Wilson, and a good defense.’

After making an impression in Chicago, Fields ended up in Pittsburgh’s two-quarterback operation alongside Russell Wilson. As a Steeler, the 25-year-old completed 106 of 161 attempts for 1,106 yards and five touchdowns.

New York Jets identify quarterback as possible Aaron Rodgers replacement

While he would likely have many suitors in free agency, the Jets’ rebuild around a young core and solid defense may attract Fields as he explores his options.

Fowler added that Fields is ‘going to be a pretty hot name’ in free agency and is reportedly ‘open to a return to the Steelers. He had a good experience there. The belief is that Pittsburgh is also open to that, too, but he wants a clean runway to start a full season.

He didn’t get that last year. He would like to be the guy wherever he goes,’ Fowler continued.

Rodgers’ departure means the Jets face $49million in dead money as new head coach Aaron Glenn tries to rebuild the beleaguered franchise. As for Rodgers, his future in the game is unclear.

The quarterback has, at times, hinted he could retire after the season ended but has also said he’d like to play in New York.

‘Last week we met with Aaron and shared that our intention was to move in a different direction at quarterback,’ Glenn said in a joint statement with new GM Darren Mougey.

Jaxson Dart also emerged as a possible replacement for Aaron Rodgers at the New York Jets

Jaxson Dart also emerged as a possible replacement for Aaron Rodgers at the New York Jets

‘It was important to have this discussion now to provide clarity and enable each of us the proper time to plan for our respective futures.

‘We want to thank him for the leadership, passion, and dedication he brought to the organization and wish him success moving forward.’

In addition to Fields, the Jets have been linked to Ole Miss star Jaxson Dart, who is up for grabs in the upcoming Draft.

Earlier this month, Jets executive Rick Spielman recently praised Dart, the 21-year-old who made the 2024 All-SEC team.

Spielman was recently hired as a senior football advisor by the Jets. And at last month’s Senior Bowl, as an analyst on CBS, he said: ‘I like Jaxson Dart a lot – better and better and better.

‘It just looks like the position comes natural to him,’ added Spielman, who praised Dart’s ‘arm talent’ and said he had the ‘smoothest, quickest release’ of any quarterback at the Senior Bowl.

  • What the NFL did with the Chiefs' wasted Super Bowl three-peat merchandise after Eagles loss

What the NFL did with the Chiefs' wasted Super Bowl three-peat merchandise after Eagles loss

Unwanted merchandise celebrating the Chiefs’ failed three-peat will reportedly be donated to people in need in countries such as Ukraine and Mongolia.

Kansas City hoped to become the first team ever to win three consecutive Super Bowls, only for Patrick Mahomes and Co to lose to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Thousands of shirts, hats and sweatshirts were made in anticipation of the Chiefs making history.

They were shipped and ready to wear – at both the Superdome and at sporting goods stores in Kansas City

But now, after the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss in New Orleans, no one in the United States will be able to buy the merchandise.

Instead, Eagles fans and players were able to get their hands on merchandise celebrating their win at Super Bowl LIX.

According to the Kansas City Star, the Chiefs gear is set to be shipped off to people in need in countries around the world.

The NFL’s merchandise distributor Fanatics reportedly partners with Rally House and non-profit organization Good360.

The merchandise is repurposed before being donated it to countries such as Ukraine, Mongolia, Georgia, Estonia and Latvia, a spokesperson said in 2024.

‘The losers’ gear is closely guarded as it makes its way from the stadium to a central location in preparation for distribution,’ Good360’s website said, per the Star.

‘Good360 will work closely with international NGOs to ensure that the apparel goes directly into the hands of the right communities — and not some place where someone might be able to profit from it.’
